Sebastian Stober shot some beautiful photos of the Utrecht and all the ISMIR 2010 events. The photos can be found here.
student travel awards
Thanks to the generous sponsorships of Gracenote, Philips, Microsoft Research and Google, ISMIR 2010 is able to offer a small number of student travel awards to ease and broaden participation in the conference. Each award will be an unrestricted grant of € 250-500 (exact amount still to be determined). Awards will be payed out during or immediately after ISMIR 2010. It is not necessary to have had a paper accepted at the conference to apply.
To be considered for a student travel award we must receive a letter from the student and a supporting letter from the student’s advisor. The student’s letter, which can be no longer than one page, should describe current affiliations and project, and should briefly explain the benefits of being able to attend ISMIR. The advisor’s letter should confirm that the applicant is a student in good standing, should comment on the student’s strengths, and also address the expected benefits of receiving the grant. Both letters should be sent as plain text email to ismir2010-generalchair@ismir.net.
All applications must be received by Friday 16 July, 2010.
Notification of decisions will be made by Friday 23 July, 2010.
We hope to see you in Utrecht!
